1. Subnautica 2 just revealed a brand-new Leviathan - and it's straight out of your deepest oceanic nightmares. Meet The Collector, a gargantuan, squid-like predator inspired by Cthulhu itself.

2. Leviathans in Subnautica are massive underwater creatures - some as big as skyscrapers. Not all are hostile... but The Collector? Yeah, this one's not here to make friends.

3. Designed by veteran Subnautica art director Cory Strader, The Collector has:

•Four long, crushing tentacles

•A split-body glow pattern

•A silhouette meant to terrify from a distance

4. The devs describe it as "easily irritable" - it hates anything unfamiliar. That means you, the player, are instantly on its bad side. But it can be distracted... by other fauna or even flares.

5. Subnautica 2's creatures will be more reactive than ever thanks to a new "stimulus" AI system. This lets them constantly reassess situations, creating unpredictable encounters and higher replayability.

6. The Collector isn't just a visual horror - it's a gameplay shake-up. Its behavior is built in Unreal Engine's advanced AI trees, likely powered by UE5 tech.

7. Subnautica 2 is targeting an early access release in 2026 after delays and behind-the-scenes drama between developer Unknown Worlds and publisher Krafton.

8. If you thought the Reaper Leviathan was scary... wait until you're hundreds of meters deep, low on oxygen, and see that glowing split-body shape closing in.\

Question is - will you try to study it... or just run?🦑💀
