GodLike Esports has formally announced the “GodLike India Program” which is all about establishing a strong foothold of competitive gaming in India. This program was formally launched on May 5 and now the company is looking for local heroes to help develop the esports ecosystem in various cities and colleges.

GodLike India Program Target Cities and Leadership Roles

The primary objective of this program is to create a regular presence in different parts of the country. The official list of targets features important metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore, along with emerging regional cities like Patna, Guwahati, and Bhubaneswar.

In order to execute this plan successfully, GodLike is recruiting two distinct categories of leaders from the local population:

City Leaders: They will be responsible for developing regional infrastructure. Their responsibilities will include renovating existing internet cafes into LAN centers, conducting city qualifiers, and collaborating with technology stores and fast food outlets for sponsoring the prize pool.

Campus Leaders: They will be solely responsible for campus event management. They will form esports committees in their colleges, draft constitutions for college esports and obtain professors as mentors, and work with college IT departments for gaming lounges and high-speed internet access.

Tier 1 (Campus Qualifiers): High-volume discovery tournaments managed by campus leads to encourage student participation.

Tier 2 (City Championships): It will be localized LAN competitions featuring proper broadcast setups and local shoutcasters.

Tier 3 (State Championship): A regional matchup where we will see top city performers compete to represent their regions.

Tier 4 (National Championship): The grand finale event will be crowning our national champions.

Education and Content Creation

Apart from organizing competitions, the program emphasizes career development and education for the members. Campus administrators will facilitate career seminars that will feature industry experts teaching students about broadcast engineering, league management, and player management. Peer mentoring will be encouraged, whereby veteran players will provide advice and guidance to the freshmen.

Lastly, the program will emphasize content creation by implementing the Hype Machine strategy. Video editors and streamers in the local area will be encouraged to film the experiences of the college rookies, organizing viewings and making story-related videos.
