Hey iQOO Fans!

How is your phone's battery life? Can it be used for a whole day? How efficient is the charging of your phone's battery? These may be some of the questions we have, among others, while looking to buy a new phone. Does this really matter?

Everyone will prefer a phone with longer battery life, which will mostly last for more than a day, and today let's check out how to know more about your phone's battery health and the physical conditions affecting the efficiency of the battery.

What is battery health?

The health of a battery determines how much it has deteriorated with each charge cycle. To put things in perspective, let's say your Android phone has a battery capacity of 4500 mAh. At 100% battery health, it will hold 4500 mAh when the phone is fully charged. But with regular charging, the health of the battery might drop to 95%. In that case, your phone will not get the full 4500 mAh out of the battery even when it is 100% charged because of its degradation over the years.

The lower the battery health, the shorter the battery life. This means that a phone with low battery health will discharge faster and may also face issues like getting warm during usage, etc. So, if you have been getting frequent "low battery" alerts, you might want to check your Android phone's battery health.

👉 Using the Settings menu

1. Open the Settings app on your phone, then select Battery

2. Once you're in the Battery section, look for an option such as Battery usage.

3. Here you can see your battery status over the last 24 hours and which apps have been using the most power.

4. If you want to force an app to close or disable it outright, tap one of the apps in this menu. You'll then see the option to disable, force stop, or pick an optimisation setting.

Some brands of phone will show you more details, like, for example, your battery's current temperature. While this isn't something you need to check regularly, any temperature below 50 degrees Celsius (about 122 Fahrenheit) is completely normal.

👉 Using a dial code

Android phones have hidden diagnostic menus that you can access by inputting sequences of numbers, hashes, and asterisks into the dial pad in their Phone app.

1. Open your phone's dial pad in its Phone app. Input the code*#*#4636#*#*.

Upon entering the final * your phone should take you to the following menu.
