DUBAI: The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has unveiled the full Opening Ceremony line-up for the Esports World Cup 2025, with the highly anticipated event set to launch in Riyadh on 10th July.The ceremony will include a live debut of the official Song of the Year, āTil My Fingers Bleedā, performed by DINO of SEVENTEEN, genre-blending American rapper Duckwrth, and metalcore frontman Telle Smith of The Word Alive.
Global superstar Post Malone will headline the live event, joined by GRAMMY-nominated producer and DJ Alesso and virtuoso cellist Tina Guo. The concert marks the official opening of the seven-week mega tournament, which features 25 competitions across 24 titles and offers a record-breaking $70 million prize pool ā the largest in esports history
The track āTil My Fingers Bleedā is a fusion of K-pop, hip-hop, and rock, written and produced by Alex Karlsson, T.Ma, and Jared Lee (Duckwrth). It reflects the ambition and emotion of the tournament, aiming to embody the cultural convergence of gaming and music. DINO, Duckwrth, and Telle Smith each bring strong ties to gaming, from soundtrack features to major esports collaborations Itās a surreal moment,ā said Telle Smith. āGaming has been a part of my life as long as music has. I think fans all over the world will love this track.āThe song is available now across all major streaming platforms and is accompanied by a cinematic visualiser on YouTube. It will be featured throughout the tournamentās broadcasts, social content, and live shows.
The Opening Ceremony is part of EWC Music, an initiative launched in April 2025 to build a unique audio identity for the Esports World Cup. The programme began with a four-track orchestral suite recorded at Abbey Road Studios by 2WEI and Hollywood Scoring. Both tracks are now integral to the EWC 2025 audio branding, enhancing everything from highlight reels to championship moments.
Post Malone ā the nine-times diamond-certified artist and lifelong gamer ā leads the Opening Ceremony with an exclusive performance that blends chart-topping hits with a celebration of gaming culture. Known for his deep involvement in esports, from streaming Warzone and PUBG to in-game collaborations like the recent Apex Legends crossover, Maloneās appearance is set to electrify fans.The inclusion of DINO, Duckwrth, and Telle Smith ties music more deeply to the gaming world. Duckwrthās āStart a Riotā featured on the Spider-Verse soundtrack, while The Word Aliveās āRISEā was the official anthem for the 2018 League of Legends World Championship and has been streamed over 300 million times.
The Esports World Cup 2025 will host over 2,000 elite players and 200 Clubs from more than 100 countries, all converging in Saudi Arabiaās capital.
