Hey Questers,
Hope u all r doing well..
There’s something timeless about the hills of Uttarakhand — the kind of quiet beauty that doesn’t shout for attention, but stays with you long after you've left. My recent trip from Dehradun to Mussoorie, and further up to Landour, Lal Tibba & Dalai Hills, was nothing short of magical.
Dehradun, with its laid-back charm, was the perfect starting point. From warm cafes to colonial churches, and the bustling Paltan Bazaar, it was a gentle introduction to the hills. But the real magic began on the winding drive up to Mussoorie. The air grew crisper, the noise faded, and nature began to take over.
Mussoorie was vibrant, with the hustle of Mall Road, cable cars heading to Gun Hill, and panoramic views of the Doon valley. But to truly escape the crowd, we went further up — to the quaint, old-world town of Landour. Nestled amidst tall deodars and pine trees, Landour is calm, poetic, and steeped in history. Walking the quiet trails past Char Dukan, sipping coffee at Emily’s, and catching glimpses of Ruskin Bond’s world felt like stepping into a simpler time.
And then came Lal Tibba — the highest point in Mussoorie. Standing there with binoculars in hand, I gazed at snow-capped Himalayan peaks on a clear day — Bandarpunch, Kedarnath, and more. It was a moment of pure stillness, the kind that resets your soul.
This trip reminded me that sometimes the best journeys are slow, quiet, and tucked away in the hills. If you’re looking for peace, stories, and mountain air that lingers in your lungs and your heart — Dehradun to Lal Tibba is a journey worth taking.!!
