Citroen, the French car maker, is trying to diversify its portfolio for the Indian market and recently launched the C3 Sport edition in India. The entry-level hatchback gets a bunch of cosmetic changes and aggressive design language that distinguishes it from the regular C3 models. Now, the Citroen C3 Sport Edition has started arriving in the dealerships, and here are the details you must check out.
The Citroen C3 Sport Edition is powered by a 1.2-liter Turbo PureTech engine, which claims to deliver a peak power and torque output of 110 hp and 205 Nm, respectively. The engine is mated with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, available as options.
The Citroen C3 Sport Edition is based on the standard C3 model, and thus it carries the same silhouette. However, the sport edition hatchback gets aggressive styling on the exterior with sporty graphics on the front bumper, hood, doors, and tailgate, C3 lettering on the bonnet, and front gates. Also, the French car maker has introduced Garnet Red color on the palette.
The C3 Sport Edition wears its athletic persona featuring 'SPORT' decals, ambient lighting, and sporty pedals. Inside, the cabin gets custom seat covers, seatbelt cushions, and carpet mats - all styled to add to the C3's athletic identity.
The Citroen C3 Limited Sport Edition comes at a premium of Rs 21,000 over the standard editions. The Optional Tech Kit, consisting of a Dashcam and a Wireless Charger, can be availed at Rs 15,000. It is available at a starting price of Rs 6.23 lakh (ex-showroom).
