The Grand Finals of the Esports World Cup 2025 featured a nail-biting five-map series between two teams, with Team Heretics completing a stunning reverse sweep against Fnatic to win 3–2. The match showcased elite-level VALORANT across Lotus, Sunset, Icebox, Haven, and Ascent, with both teams trading momentum in a high-stakes clash.

Here's how the matches went:

In the first game on Lotus, Fnatic opened strong with an 8–4 lead at halftime. Their momentum carried into the second half, where they shut Heretics out completely with a 5–0 run, closing the map 13–4 to take the early series lead.

Sunset saw even more dominance from Fnatic. They stormed through the first half with an overwhelming 11–1 scoreline. Heretics managed to scrape one more round in the second half, but Fnatic sealed the map with a 2–1 finish, ending it 13–2 and putting themselves up 2–0 in the series.

On Icebox, Heretics started to turn the tide. They edged out a 7–5 advantage in the first half and kept things steady in the second, going 6–6 to close the map 13–11 and take their first win of the Grand Finals.

Haven followed a similar pattern. Heretics once again secured an 8–4 lead going into halftime. Fnatic pushed back slightly with six rounds in the second half, but Heretics maintained their grip and took the map 13–10 to tie the series 2–2.

The decider on Ascent was tense, with Heretics maintaining consistency. They took an 8–4 lead in the first half, and although Fnatic kept it close by going 6–5 in the second, Heretics held on to close out the final map 13–10 and complete the reverse sweep.
