The Esports World Cup 2025 kicked off in Riyadh with big moments across multiple titles in its historic $70.45M prize pool event.


Rennsport:

BMW M Team Redline defended their title in style, defeating Virtus.pro and Team Vitality in a dominant sim-racing performance. They topped groups and won Finalist Mode in a stacked nine-team showdown.

VALORANT:

Team Heretics pulled off a stunning reverse sweep against Fnatic in the grand final. After going down 0-2, they rallied to win 3-2, led by MVP Wo0t. This marks their first international VALORANT trophy.

Apex Legends:

China’s VK Gaming shocked the field to win the ALGS Midseason Playoffs. In a chaotic Match Point Format final, they edged out Wolves and Sentinels for their first global Apex title. MVP honors went to VK's QQ.

Fatal Fury:

GO1 (Japan) defeated Xiaohai (China) 3-2 in the Grand Final of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. The fighting game legend adds another title to his multi-game legacy.

Dota 2:

Team Spirit, Liquid, BetBoom, and Aurora topped their groups, while Tundra, PARIVISION, Falcons, and Gaimin Gladiators advanced to playoffs. All quarterfinal matchups in Week 2 are EU/CIS teams in Bo3s.
