Smartphone brand iQOO and India-based tournament organizer NODWIN Gaming announced a new Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) competition called iQOO Battlegrounds Series, an online competition that will culminate in a LAN finale in August.

The new competition will be run by NODWIN Gaming and Trinity Gaming, and will have a total prize pool of INR 1 Crore, or more than $116,000 USD (according to today’s exchange rate of 1 INR = $0.012 USD).

“At iQOO, we believe the future of gaming lies in building meaningful opportunities for the esports community,” Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO, said. “The iQOO Battlegrounds Series is not just a tournament—it’s our flagship gaming IP, designed to bring the best teams in India to the grand stage. This initiative further reinforces iQOO’s identity as a performance-driven brand rooted in innovation and technology, with esports serving as the perfect confluence of both. We’re excited to support India’s top gaming talent by providing a platform that celebrates skill, passion, and ambition. With this, we aim to elevate India’s esports ecosystem to the next level.”

Qualifier rounds will officially begin on July 21 for a community focused competition called the iQOO Community Cup, with the winning team securing a direct entry into the LAN Finale, alongside 31 other teams that will get a direct invite. This will lead into a LAN Finale to be held Aug. 8 – 10, in Delhi at a location and venue to be announced at a later date.

One would assume that teams will play on one of iQOO’s top-end smartphone devices available in the country such as the Flagship, Neo, or Z Series, but the company plans to use the iQOO Neo 10, at LEAST according to the graphic released alongside its announcement.
