India’s Smartphone Market Grows 7% in Q2 Who’s Leading the Race? #TechTalk

Big news in the tech world! According to Canalys (now part of Omdia), India's smartphone shipments grew by 7% year-on-year in Q2 2025, with a total of 39 million units shipped between April and June. 💥

Vivo topped the chart with 8.1 million shipments (21% market share), followed by Samsung at 6.2 million. OPPO, Realme, and Apple rounded out the top 5.

 Highlights from the Report:

Vivo V50 & Y-Series saw strong demand in cities and towns.

Samsung pushed hard in the mid-premium segment with 0% EMI offers.


OPPO took Xiaomi’s spot in the top 3.


Infinix outperformed TECNO within TRANSSION.


Even Apple’s iPhone 16 series contributed strongly, though the 16e lagged.

This recovery follows a cautious Q1, where brands held back due to high inventory levels.

🔹 Top 5 Smartphone Brands in Q2 2025 (India):


1. vivo : 8.1M units – 21%

2. Samsung: 6.2M units – 16%

3. OPPO: 5.0M units – 13%

4. Xiaomi: 5.0M units – 13%

5. realme: 3.6M units – 9%
