Today is World Environment Day . World Environment Day is the largest celebration of the world dedicated to nature by the United Nations. About World Environment Day . It is celebrated every year around the world on 5th June.

Trees and plants play an important role in reducing the level of pollution in the environment and making it pure. In today's industrialized civilization, the environment is getting polluted badly. Due to the increasing level of pollution in the environment, sometimes there is a situation of rain and sometimes drought. In such a situation, it is necessary that people should be made aware of the environment. World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5th June for this purpose.

The first World Environment Day was celebrated on 5 June 1974. More than 143 countries participate in it every year. The Environment Protection Act came into force on 19 November 1986.


Why is Environment Day celebrated?


When the problem of environmental pollution in the world started to take a formidable form and due to the unbalanced distribution of resources, all the countries were affected badly, then a global platform was created to deal with these problems, the purpose of celebrating this day is to make the problems of the environment human. It was to give a face and make people aware of the environment, as well as promote the partnership of different countries, industries, institutions, and individuals so that all countries and future generations can enjoy a safe and productive environment.
