Great news for WhatsApp users and AI enthusiasts: WhatsApp is now testing a groundbreaking real-time voice chat feature with Meta AI in its latest Android beta release!

What's New?

• Talk to Meta AI (Like a Call!):
• You can now talk to Meta's AI assistant using your voice—just like making a regular phone call, but with an AI bot! Tap the waveform icon in the Chats or Calls tab to begin a conversation.
• Hands-Free, Multitasking Support:
• The chat session runs in the background, so you can use other apps without interrupting your voice interaction. Android's microphone indicator stays active for privacy transparency.
• Mute and Privacy Controls:
• Mute or end your voice chat session at any time with on-screen controls. The feature is designed with privacy in mind, showing you when your mic is in use.
• Media Sharing & Future Plans:
• Current options allow sharing images and videos via quick-access icons. WhatsApp plans to expand support for more file types during these AI conversations in future updates.
• Beta-Only… for Now:
• This feature is rolling out to select beta testers on Android (version 2.25.21.21), with broader availability expected soon. No official public release date announced yet.
