The top 5 oldest continuously inhabited cities in India are Varanasi, Patna (ancient Pataliputra), Ujjain, Madurai, and Mathura. These cities have been inhabited for millennia and hold significant historical and cultural importance in India. 

Here's a little more about each:

 1. Varanasi:

Situated on the banks of the Ganges River, Varanasi is considered one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and is a major Hindu pilgrimage site. 

2. Patna (ancient Pataliputra):

• Once the capital of the Mauryan Empire, Patna has a rich history and was a major center of trade and culture.
