Hey Everyone
I hope you guys are doing well
Team Vietnam has officially etched its name in the history books by winning the PUBG Nations Cup 2025, delivering a record-breaking total of 216 points over 18 games.
The event, held from July 23 to July 27 at the Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea, marked a monumental victory for Vietnam after years of narrowly missing the top spot.
Vietnam had come painfully close before, finishing second in 2019 and 2022, third in 2023, and fourth in 2024. This time, though, there was no doubt. Their consistent performance throughout the tournament, from early dominance to maintaining their lead under pressure, showcased the skill and resilience that finally brought them to the top.
The event followed the SUPER Global Point Rule, with kill points and placements determining the match outcomes. Each kill earned a team 1 point, while placement points ranged from 10 for 1st place to 0 for teams finishing 9th through 16th.
While Vietnam led the pack, China, Thailand, and the United States were formidable opponents throughout the event. China emerged as an early threat with impressive games in the mid-stage. Thailand consistently delivered stable placements, and the U.S. made a late push, especially with wins in Game 6 and Game 16.
Ultimately, Vietnam's unmatched consistency gave them the edge, with the team finishing with the highest kill count and most placement points overall.
The total prize pool reached $947,102, thanks to crowdfunding efforts that added 25% of PNC 2025 skin sales to the base $500,000 pool.
Himass, from Team Vietnam, was named the MVP of the tournament for his standout gameplay and leadership.
