Giving players a week to hunt down tons of Treasure Goblins to earn bonus loot. From now until August 5, Diablo 4 fans who defeat enough Treasure Goblins can earn tons of awesome rewards, including a Resplendent Spark.
The March of the Goblins is an event first introduced to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Diablo 4 in June 2024, where Treasure Goblin spawn rates were greatly increased. The Diablo 4 loot event returned with significant alterations in March 2025 during Season 7 by adding six new types of Treasure Goblins, plus a Goblin Statue in Kyovashad that grants rewards to players who kill lots of the greedy monsters.
Now, Diablo 4 has brought back the popular loot event once more. From now until August 5 at 10 AM PT, fans will see drastically increased Treasure Goblin spawn rates across all World Tiers in dungeons, the overworld, and during the Avarice, The Gold-Cursed World Boss fight in Diablo 4. Likewise, Greed Shrines will become more plentiful wherever they normally appear. By checking the Goblin Statue in Kyovashad, players can track their progress through the event, granting them access to loot chests, higher Treasure Bag drop rates, and rare upgrade items, including a Resplendent Spark.

Unfortunately, it seems like this run of the March of the Goblins has encountered a major problem. An issue is preventing the Goblin Statue from appearing in Kyovashad, making it impossible to start the event, check one's progress, or claim rewards. Blizzard is aware of the issue and is actively working to resolve it. Diablo 4 expects the statue to reappear before the end of the day, and will extend the event if it takes too long.
The Season 7 rendition of March of the Goblins was lauded by fans for its simplicity and breadth of rewards, and many are excited to start the Season 9 version as well. Some players are hoping Blizzard brings back this event more often, possibly alongside every mid-season Diablo 4 update. It remains to be seen if Blizzard will stick to a schedule with the March of the Goblins event, or just bring it back sporadically, but the fact that it returned so quickly once means it could do so again in the future.
Unfortunately, Diablo 4 recently confirmed it had no major info to share until Season 10 gets closer. At the very least, fans can enjoy the March of the Goblins as they enter the second half of Season 9 – and if they are lucky, Diablo 4 will surprise them with more weekly events in August and September ahead of the next season.
