Day 1 of the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025 Grand Finals kicked off in Riyadh with an absolute banger of a match on Sanhok, and trust me—you didn't want to blink.

Let me walk you through Match 1, where Alter Ego Ares (Indonesia) came in like a storm, and I was practically yelling at my screen the whole time.

Landing and Initial fights

A fierce drop fight commenced between POWR Esports and 4Thrives Esports at Ha Tinh.

4TFalak almost clutched it out, but POWR Esports emerged victorious.

1st Zone

Quite a dynamic circle between all the three islands, and Alter Ego Ares had a good split around Bootcamp and hills.

2nd Zone

A hard north-western shift favouring the two west islands.

Alter Ego Ares still had a really good position in the Zone, with an easy access for next zone shifts.

3rd Zone

A hard southern shift to the south west island, giving a huge advantage to Nongshim Redforce.

4th Zone

Another hard shift, putting Alter Ego Ares in a huge advantage with their back clear and a good area in the Zone.

5th Zone

Hard shift to east, with players from WBG and AE in the centre.

6th Zone

AE still in advantage with the high ground in their control.

7th Zone

A decider fight for AE against EA for the position in the zone.

AE emerged victorious with their on point cover-fires and positioning.

8th Zone

A central shift, IDA moves first to get the zone.

AE wrap around the hill to make a cross-fire set-up.

Final Zone

A 3v3 between AE and IDA for the Win.
