What is Copilot 3D?

  • A new feature in Copilot Labs designed to turn 2D images (PNG or JPG under 10 MB) into downloadable 3D models (GLB format)—no hassle, no complex software needed.

How to Use It:

  1. Log in to Copilot.com using your Microsoft or Google account.
  2. Navigate to the Labs section in the sidebar.
  3. Upload your image and hit “Create”—the model will be ready in seconds to about a minute.
  4. Access your creations on the My Creations page, where they'll be saved for 28 days.

Best Use Cases:

  • Ideal for furniture, simple objects (like an umbrella or banana), game assets, 3D printing, AR/VR projects, design and animation workflows.
  • Works best when your photo has a clear, isolated subject with a plain background.

Limitations & Tips:

  • Animals, humans, and screens can produce odd or inaccurate results.
  • Avoid uploading images of people you don't have rights to—that may result in access restrictions and accounts being banned.
  • Rest assured, your uploads aren't used to train AI, and unsafe or illegal uploads are blocked.
