Krafton India has announced the launch of a new initiative called “Beyond Battlegrounds”. Beyond Battlegrounds is a digital story initiative, focusing on fans of its mobile battle royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), who are “transforming gaming inspiration into real-world expressions.”

The initiative kicked off after Karan Kargwal, a 28-year-old railway technician from Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, made a BGMI buggy on top of his house. The interesting part is that the buggy Kargwal made is fully functional.

He made the buggy by reverse engineering it from gameplay screenshots and 3D models. Kargwal posted an Instagram reel with the buggy in it which made his account blow up, giving him 2.2 lakh followers, with 95% of them from Tier two, three and four cities, according to Krafton.

Krafton India saw this, and took notice of the support he was getting from the community, which made them “power his vision to the finish line” hence marking the beginning of Beyond Battlegrounds.

“This buggy is more than just metal and wheels- it’s proof that when passion meets purpose, even the most unexpected dreams can come alive. I’m grateful to my family, my followers, and to BGMI for turning this small-town build into a national story.” said Kargwal.

Saurabh Shah, the head of people operations at Krafton India, said, “With Beyond Battlegrounds, we’re championing everyday gamers who are turning passion into purpose, and gameplay into real-world impact.” He added that Kargwal’s buggy is more than just a “build” but how gaming is fuelling ambition, creativity, and identity in places the world rarely looks.
