The Q2 2025 India smartphone market saw familiar dominance at the top but some interesting shifts in the middle order. Let’s break it down:

Year-on-Year (Q2 2024 vs Q2 2025)

Vivo – Still at No.1, powered by strong offline reach & competitive 5G offerings.

Samsung – Holds 2nd place with steady value share in premium & mid-premium models.


Oppo – Climbs to 3rd, overtaking Realme (now 4th) as Realme shipments ease slightly.


Xiaomi – Steady at 5th, showing signs of recovery after earlier declines.


Motorola – Moves to 6th, pushing Apple down to 7th.


iQOO, OnePlus, Lava – No YoY rank change.

Declines (YoY) – OnePlus → Poco → Xiaomi → Realme.

Quarter-on-Quarter (Q1 2025 vs Q2 2025)

Top 4 (Vivo, Samsung, Oppo, Realme) – No change.


Xiaomi – Up to 5th, overtakes Apple.


Motorola – Gains a spot, solid budget & mid-tier performance.


iQOO –  Biggest jump! From 10th to 8th on the back of strong online sales.


OnePlus & Lava – Each drop one rank.

Key Highlights

Nothing, Tecno & Infinix – Still outside the Top 10 despite active launches & marketing pushes. Nothing’s growth is high but from a small base (<2.5% market share).


Apple – Ranking drops in both YoY & QoQ, reflecting intense competition in premium/mid-premium space.


iQOO – The fastest climber this quarter, proving strength in online-first markets.


Top 4 – Remain unshaken, showing a mature and stable competitive landscape.
