What is Coolie The Powerhouse?

Coolie is a 2025 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures. The film features an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj and Rachita Ram, with Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde in special appearances. In the film, a former coolie union leader investigates the death of his friend which leads him to a crime syndicate.The film was officially announced in September 2023 under the tentative title Thalaivar 171 as Rajinikanth's 171st film as a lead actor and the official title was announced in April 2024. Principal photography commenced the following July in Chennai, which was followed by sporadic schedules held in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur and Bangkok, and wrapped by mid-March 2025. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Girish Gangadharan and editing by Philomin Raj.Coolie was released in theatres worldwide on 14 August 2025. The film received mixed-to-positive reviews from both critics and audience, who praised the performances, Anirudh's score, the first half, and the concept, but was criticized for its second half.

My Review On Coolie Powerhouse 

An engaging flick which is worth your money The film has got a lot of good scenes in it. Loki once again has given some good writing The film has got your regular templates like intro song,an dance number. But they are engaging and entertaing too Loki has given special treatment especially to his female character,just like agent Tina in vikram. Infact more than that This movie has given enough screentime other characters, letting the story run Soubin and rachita ram deserve a special mention too their performance  Rachita ram at her best Upendra cameo is more of action block used , though there are few shots of his flashback  Rajini sir has done his job done Loki gives some good drama with action, remembering people that rajini sir is not just for action and fights
