I have noticed that the iQOO Z9x advertises a 7-level adaptive refresh rate, including values below 60Hz. However, even when using refresh rate monitoring tools and the “Show Refresh Rate” option in Developer Options, I only observe the refresh rate switching between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz. I have tried keeping the phone idle on static screens and tested in different apps, but the refresh rate never drops to 50Hz, 48Hz, or 30Hz as stated in the promotional materials.

Could you please clarify:

In which specific scenarios or apps does the screen drop below 60Hz?

Is this feature currently active in the retail (India/global) version, or will it be enabled in future updates?

Is there a way for users to verify all 7 refresh rate steps on their devices?
