VCT China Stage 2: EDward Gaming and Xi Lai Gaming Clinch Champions Paris Berths

In a decisive Day 2 of the VCT China 2025 Stage 2 playoffs, EDward Gaming and Xi Lai Gaming claimed the final two Chinese slots for Valorant Champions Paris 2025. EDG swept Stage 1 finalist TYLOO 2-0, while XLG edged All Gamers 2-1, meaning the four Chinese teams headed to Paris will be Bilibili Gaming, EDward Gaming, Xi Lai Gaming, and Dragon Ranger Gaming thespike.gg. (BLG and DRG had already secured their Champions spots by reaching the upper final community.iqoo.com.) With All Gamers eliminated, no other team can earn enough points to contend – China is now the first VCT region to lock all four Champions berths.

EDward Gaming sweeps TYLOO to qualify for Champions

EDward Gaming quickly locked in their Champions spot by dominating newcomer TYLOO in straight maps. In the Haven opener (TYLOO's pick), EDG debuted a double-duelist setup (ZmjjKK on Yoru and Jieni7 on Neon) and exploded for eight straight rounds, charging to a 9–3 halftime lead vlr.gg. EDG closed out the half with a pistol round win and never looked back, taking Haven 13–3. Duelists ZmjjKK and Jieni7 finished atop the scoreboard (20 and 21 kills, respectively) as EDG snapped TYLOO's hopes.

This 2–0 victory punched EDward Gaming's ticket to Paris and kept their undefeated map streak against TYLOO intact. As VLR.gg notes, EDG not only qualified but will be“defend[ing] their Champions title”in Paris. Meanwhile TYLOO's impressive Stage 1 turnaround ends in a solid top-six finish.

Xi Lai Gaming outclasses All Gamers in three maps

Xi Lai Gaming (XLG) also sealed their berth with a hard-fought 2–1 win over All Gamers. On XLG's map choice Ascent, their offensive ultimates carried them to a 13–8 victory. After going up 9–3 with a mid-game snowball, XLG held off an AG comeback; standout Sova Viva dropped 24 kills on Ascent (203 ADR) to power the win.

All Gamers fought back on Icebox (their pick), winning 13–9. AG's defense stifled XLG's advances, and flankers like Viper K1ra (26 kills) wreaked havoc, pushing AG into the lead. However, the decisive Lotus map saw XLG completely overpower AG. Deploying a triple-sentinel defense, XLG racked up an 11–1 lead by halftime and closed Lotus 13–1. Sage Rarga led the rout with 23 kills.

With this comeback, Xi Lai Gaming secured their Champions Paris spot. All Gamers season ends here – the loss means no other Chinese team can pass the top four in Championship Points.

China's Champions representatives and next steps

Thanks to these results, China will be represented at Valorant Champions Paris 2025 by Bilibili Gaming (BLG), EDward Gaming (EDG), Xi Lai Gaming (XLG), and Dragon Ranger Gaming (DRG). As esports writer Sage Datuin observes, all four slots are now filled. (Notably, both XLG and DRG are VCT Ascension teams – the higher finisher between them in Paris will earn a guaranteed VCT 2026 spot, while the other must re-qualify via Ascension thespike.gg.)

The Stage 2 playoffs aren't over yet: BLG and DRG will meet in the upper-final for seeding, and EDG faces XLG in the lower bracket (a win or go-home matchup). Regardless, Chinese fans can already celebrate knowing all four of China's VCT Stage 2 teams are headed to Paris.
