 Instagram Testing Picture-in-Picture for Reels! 📱🎬

Big news for multitaskers and content creators: Instagram is rolling out a Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode for Reels! Now, selected users can watch Reels in a floating window, even after leaving the app—just like YouTube and TikTok.

Key Features:

Watch Reels in a small floating window while using other apps.

Available to select users as a test; look out for the “Try picture in picture” pop-up.

Can be turned off anytime from the three-dot menu while watching a Reel.

Why It Matters:

Creators: Longer Reels might get more views with easier multitasking for users.

Users: Multitask seamlessly—reply to chats, check maps, or browse while enjoying Reels.

What’s Next?

Instagram hasn’t confirmed when PiP will roll out to everyone, but it’s a step towards matching features already on YouTube and TikTok.
