In this review I will try to explain about the real life usage and not talk endlessly about specs

Looks:

There are two colour variants,

Raging Blue: A multicolour blue and white color scheme which gives a "Gamery" look. It also has an inscription under the camera module which is only visible in bright light. (Very cool easter egg)

MoonKnight Titanium: This colour scheme is more stealthy and has a moon design on the back

I have the Raging Blue variant and I'm happy with it

The phone is 6.8 inches and is covered in the back and sides by plastic(feels a bit cheap)

The power button and volume rocker are on the right side and I personally like this more than the volume rocker being on the left side

Unboxing:

The box comes with the phone, sim ejector, 80W Flashcharger, clear case and paperwork

A thin screen protector is also pre-applied

Display:

The display is a 1.5k resolution, 7.8 inch, 144hz amoled panel with a max brightness of 4500 nits. This means that the display is beautiful with decent visibility in strong sunlight. The only con is the slightly thicker bottom bezels.

Keep in mind that the 144hz only works with one or two apps. Most of the apps run at 120hz. high pwm dimming is a great feature that helps reduce eyestrain at night. This feature is available in this phone

-Excellent display with great outdoor usability

-Only con being the slightly thicker bottom bezel

Ui:

It comes with funtouchos 15 out of the box and iqoo has promised 3 years of major android updates and 4 years of security updates. This means that the phone will be updated to Android 18.

FuntouchOS gets a lot of hate for looking outdated and it deserves this hate. Apart from its outdated look there's nothing really bad about funtouchOS. There's a lot of customisation and the os is smooth.

There are some very useful ai features in the albums app too like the ai eraser and photo enhancer. You may not use them daily, but just having the ability to edit something/someone out of a photo comes in very handy sometimes.

The ability to change the volume of each app individually is a game-changer and I'm g

lad the Neo 10r has this feature.

There are a few multitasking features too. For example, the smart sidebar which lets you open apps in a floating mini window. And the obvious split screen mode too.

I've had some stutters very rarely. Bugs are patched out monthly along with the security updates

Things they should do to make funtouchos better, are:

1 update the visuals of ui elements including the quick settings panel and volume panel

Let the users download and use custom fonts

Better stock widgets

Some unwanted apps were preinstalled but they are easily uninstallable. Some system apps are uninstallable though(example: V-appstore, Iqoo store, tips etc)

-The ui is smooth with good animations

-Outdated look

-timely updates

Performance:

The Neo 10r uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8sgen3 chipset with 8 or 12 gbs of Ram.

Honestly the performance is pretty good

It has close to 1,500,00 points in antutu(very good )

The inbuilt vapour chamber helps to control the temperature a lot

So there are no issues with performance in daily life

Using a different back case may increase the temperature faster

Most games games run well

Codm runs smooth at 120 fps + medium graphics

Some stuttering with genshin impact at max settings(60fps)

Zzz runs well with some stutters when many effects are onscreen(max graphics 60fps)

-good performance

-good temperature control

Cameras

The main sensor is a 50 MP sensor with f/1.8. The performance in daylight is amazing and the camera performance at night is acceptable.

The ultrawide on the other hand is just 8MP and is it's performance is acceptable in daylight and useless at night.

Portraits come out well (both 1x and 2x)

Turning off the beauty filter is recommended for a realistic look

The selfie camera is decent in good lighting conditions. It's not very good at night

The phone is capable of recording at 4k60 fps with the main sensor and the video quality is good. The video has some slight stuttering at night but otherwise it's fine.

The selfie camera is capable of recording at 4k30 fps. It's not too bad if I'm being honest

Since iQOO is a Vivo sub brand, the color science is very good

-good main camera

-ultrawide camera is just okay

-selfie camera is decent

-Video recording with the main sensor is good

-selfie video recording is decent

Storage:

The phone comes in two storage configurations

128gb and 256gb

The 128gb version recieves UFS 3.1

The 256gb version recieves UFS 4.0

It's recommended to choose the 256 gb variant especially if you plan on using the phone for more than 2 years.

-choose the 256 gb variant for long term use

Audio and Speakers:

The phone has a dual speaker system (amplified earpiece speaker and bottom speaker )

The speakers are loud with minimal bass(normal in this price range )

The bluetooth version is the latest 5.4 version

I have had no issues with Bluetooth streaming in the 6 months of using the phone

Mics are good and get the job done. I haven't had any issues with it

-good speakers

-very loud but minimal bass

-Mics are good

Battery and charging:

The Neo 10R is equipped with a massive 6400mah battery and hence the battery life is very good.

It can last you about 8hours on a normal day with outdoor usage, 5G , taking some pictures/videos social media scrolling, bluetooth streaming, etc

The phone is capable of charging at 80watts with the included Flashcharger

The battery pass through feature is very useful in gaming

A full charge takes about 50-60 minutes

It also supports Usb Power Delivery (Usb PD) at 55w. This means you can use something like a laptop charger for charging the Neo 10r

-good battery life

-good charging speed

Extra things to keep in mind:

The phone does not have a physical proximity sensor. This hasn't caused many issues for me personally. The screen sometimes does not go dark when you place it near your ear during a call. This has happened to me 5 or 6 times during my 6month usage.(Very rarely )

The phone is ip54 certified. I would advise not to take it into rain. Small splashes are okay though

Customer care is excellent and the staff is very helpful and repairs are quick. I have good experiences with the customer care of Vivo/iQOO

The Neo 10r is a good phone to buy under 30k INR

That's all for my six month review. I hope it has been useful to you
