 Design & Build Quality

💎 Materials Used : Plastic back and body, Front panel comes with Diamond Shield Protection

( I'm not gonna drop test btw 😂 )

Weight & Balance : comfortable for One hand usage even with case.

Slightly Heavier on the Camera Side with cover applied

Figure 6, view larger image

📏 Thickness & Ergonomics : Curved Edges make this phone more comfortable to hold for long duration like Gaming or Travelling.

Thickness matches iQOO's claim - ( although i like thicker phones in exchange for a bigger battery )

Figure 7, view larger image

🎨 Color & Finish Quality :

It's a Plastic back , matte in touch so fingerprints shouldn't be a problem although take care not the scratch the back , Always use a Case.

Plastic Back with Matte Feel

🛡 Durability / Feel :

Feel is excellent — the plastic body feels high-quality, but this phone doesn't tolerate bending very well. Do not keep it in your back pocket or sit on it

 Display

Figure 9, view larger image

📐 Size & Resolution : 6.77 inch , Full HD

📱 Panel Type & Quality :

Quad Curved OLED, 120Hz, 2160Hz PWM, HDR10+, 1300 nits (HBM), 1800 nits (peak)

( LTPO / Variable refresh rate - Absent ❌ )

( Variable refresh is usually found only above 40000 price range so it's understandable)

Quad Curved OLED

Outdoor Brightness : It seems usable in Direct Sunlight

Figure 11, view larger image

🌈 Color Accuracy : Display is 10 Bit so it supports 1.07 Billion Colors

Touch Response & Sampling Rate : couldn't find an official rating but while playing COD mobile didn't feel any issue

🖼 Bezels & Screen-to-Body Ratio : 88.5% ratio and bezels are symmetrical which is great 😃

🛠 Customization Options - Always-on Display works but turns off after sometime constant AOD is not available

🌀 Fingerprint Sensor

Optical ( Manufacturer - Goodix ) , Position is a bit uncomfortable as it is very near to the charging point.

 Performance

Processor & GPU : Dimensity 7400 ( GPU - Arm Mali-G615 MC2 )

💾 Ram Type - LPDDR4X

📀 UFS Type - UFS 2.2

🎮 Gaming Test:

Games tested - COD mobile, Wuthering Waves

1) COD Mobile - Game runs great and Supports 90 FPS in all Modes and low setting. On higher settings only 60fps is available. Surprisingly 4D game Vibration support is not available in COD mobile but it is available in BGMI

( I hope the support is added through future software updates )

Figure 20, view larger image

2) Wuthering waves

Wuthering waves supports a maximum of High settings at 60 FPS. And runs at average of 35 to 40fps . If you turn on screen recording the game will struggle with 20 FPS.

🛠 Special Features

Figure 25, view larger image

🔄 Update Frequency : iQOO promises 2 Major Android Upgrades and 3 years of Software Patches.

Figure 26, view larger image

📱 UI Animations are not at the Same level as Flagships or Mid range performance devices

Figure 27, view larger image

Compared to a Flagship like iQOO 12 - Real Time blurring and Motion Blur are absent in Z10r probably due to a budget processor like Dimensity 7400

🎮 Gaming Tools :

4D game Vibration supported for BGMI , Game View enhancement available for all Games , Bypass Charging available for all Games

🎮 Additional features -

1) Screen Mistouch Prevention

🛰 GPS Accuracy : GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, QZSS

🛜 NFC - Absent ❌

 Heating & Thermal Management

Figure 49, view larger image
13,690 mm^2 as claimed by iQOO

🌡 Idle Temperature : ( This is internal Processor Temperature not Outer Surface temperature )

Figure 50, view larger image

🌡️ Load Temperature (Gaming/Charging):

Charging - 5°C temperature increase

Gaming - BGMI / COD - 10°C increase

( Genshin Impact and Wuthering waves don't run well on Dimensity 7400 but temperature increase is similar to BGMI )

Figure 51, view larger image

Dimensity 7400 doesn't Overheat more than 40°C, it's not a very Heavy duty processor.

🛠 Cooling System Efficiency :

Figure 52, view larger image

Vapour Chamber present but Plastic Back and Body makes heat dissipation Harder than regular glass or metal

 Pros & Cons - ⚖️

Pros :

1) IP 69 Rating 🌊

2) Great Design ⚡

3) Stereo Speakers 🔊

4)Good Rear Camera Sensor for Photography

5) AI features for UI and Photos 🤖

6) Good Display Colour Accuracy & Brightness

Cons :

1) Only Bgmi Focused Game optimizations

2) Dimensity 7400 doesn't support 4k 60fps recording

3) Slight Jitters in UI 🫨 ( Might improve with Origin OS if it comes )

4) Ufs 2.2 Storage Type and Slow ram type  (Even Z10x has ufs 3.1 so Z10r shouldn't have UFS 2.2 🤔)

Figure 53, view larger image

Final Verdict

💬 Overall Experience :

> Main Camera captures Colours and Details well

> Gaming performance is only for casual users. Heavy gamers should increase budget and go for Higher Models. ( Neo 10r or Neo 10 )

> IP 69 rating is good for thrill seekers and bikers as rain won't affect the device.

🎯 Target Audience : Budget Users who want a Balanced Experience with Camera and Performance

🏆 My Rating : [7.5/10]
