At first glance, you might think these are giant beehives… but nope, they’re actually the stunning dome-shaped towers of the Bungle Bungle Range in Western Australia. 🇦🇺

📍 Found in Purnululu National Park, these striped sandstone formations are fragile masterpieces of nature – and that’s why climbing them is strictly forbidden. 🚫

✨ What makes them unique:

  • Their orange & black banded patterns come from layers of sandstone + biological crusts 🖌️
  • The towers have been sculpted by erosion over millions of years 🌬️
  • The park has been home to Aboriginal people for over 20,000 years, holding deep cultural and spiritual significance 🪶

Fun Fact: The Bungle Bungles were relatively unknown to the outside world until the 1980s, despite being sacred land for millennia!

💬 Question to Questers:

Would you explore the landscape from the ground 🥾 or take a scenic flight overhead 🚁 to see these beehive domes in all their glory?
