Hey Questers,
Hope u all r doing well...
iQOO smartphones are set to debut the Android 16-based Origin OS 6, replacing their long-running FunTouch OS for Indian users. This strategic shift is expected to bring smoother performance, advanced features, and richer customization, positioning iQOO devices at the forefront of mobile innovation in 2025.
Vivo and iQOO have officially announced that Indian versions of their smartphones will migrate to Origin OS 6, a feature-packed custom UI previously reserved for users in China.
The transition will coincide with upcoming flagships, including the Vivo X300 series and iQOO 15, launching globally within the next few months.
The change reflects Vivo’s rebranding strategy and a desire for consistency across regions—addressing past criticisms of FunTouch OS related to its limited animations and customization options.
Origin OS 6 introduces several standout improvements over its predecessor:
“Comfort Engineering” design for a smoother, visually pleasing experience.
Advanced lock screen customization inspired by iOS 26, including a Liquid Glass-style look and dynamic clock redesign.
Quantum Animation Engine 4.0 for ultra-smooth transitions and gestures.
Multi-Turbo 6.0 optimizations for faster app launches and enhanced multitasking, which is crucial for gaming-centric devices like iQOO.
Expanded AI tools such as smarter conversations, memory management, and Jovi Voice-powered natural speech interactions.“Klotski Grid” home screen system for modular widget layouts that support real-time updates and deep personalization.
India’s smartphone market thrives on feature-rich personalization and performance tuning. By delivering Origin OS 6’s advanced animations, custom widgets, and refined UI, iQOO aims to satisfy tech enthusiasts and power users—including serious mobile gamers. Early previews suggest improved battery management, smarter scene recognition for photography, and premium visual effects that set a new standard for Android device UX in India.
While the global preview program begins September 29 in China, the official debut of Origin OS 6 is scheduled for October 10, 2025. The first iQOO and Vivo phones to ship with Origin OS 6 out-of-the-box will be the iQOO 15 and Vivo X300 series, with broader updates expected by late 2025 and early 2026 for eligible models.
Origin OS 6 marks a significant milestone in iQOO’s user experience journey—promising a dynamic, highly personalized, and fluid interface for all Indian users. Fans and power users can expect enhanced AI tools, richer interaction, and smarter everyday performance upgrades with this new OS rollout.
