📍 Key Facts:

  • Built in Sydney, Australia by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for its Radio Physics Laboratory
  • Designed by British-born Trevor Pearcey
  • Programmed using an unusual 12-hole paper tape 📝

📜 Timeline:

  • Transferred to the Department of Physics at the University of Melbourne in 1955
  • Remained in service until 1964, making it one of the longest-serving early digital computers
