Story summary 

Blood in the Shadows opens with the discovery of a mutilated body in an abandoned subway tunnel beneath the city. The crime scene is brutal, yet eerily clean, leaving behind no trace of evidence—except a chilling phrase written on the wall in blood: “Light cannot hide the truth.” Detective Ishita Roy, a rising star in the homicide unit, is assigned to the case. Soon, more bodies surface, each victim a powerful figure with dark secrets, and each murder staged in a place where shadows dominate. As Ishita follows the trail, she unearths a pattern linking the victims to a long-forgotten government cover-up. But the killer is always one step ahead, watching from the darkness.
