Minecraft Live events are among the most anticipated times of the year for Minecraft fans, revealing fresh announcements to look forward to. In fact, Mojang already hosted a Minecraft Live earlier this year. In that presentation, the developer revealed details about the Chase the Skies game drop, Vibrant Visuals update, and more. Now, with the year more than half over, players have received a glimpse of what is to come in the rest of 2025 and beyond.

As part of Minecraft Live, Mojang revealed September 30 as the release date for The Copper Age, the next game drop for Minecraft. This means the wait to check out the new content in the base game is almost over. The presentation touched on many of the features coming in the update, including the helpful copper golem. This handy mob can help players organize their bases by sorting items in chests. Some other things coming on September 30 include copper tools, weapons, and armor, along with the shelf block. It is worth noting that some of these features from the game drop have been playable via Snapshots and Betas/Previews. However, all players will soon have access to them.

Some of the other news from the presentation included a new add-on that is available from the Minecraft Marketplace. Known as Friendly Fishing, this add-on was created with the help of Conservation International to raise environmental awareness and lets players catch all sorts of fish, including sharks. It should be noted that proceeds from the add-on will go to help the work of Conservation International. Minecraft Live also announced a collaboration with Dragon Ball Z. This DLC is coming to Bedrock later in 2025 and will introduce content from the popular series. However, players can get a free Super Saiyan Hair in the Marketplace right now.
