World of Warcraft Reveals Midnight Collector's Edition

World of Warcraft has officially revealed the Midnight Collector’s Edition,

which includes a hard cover art book, pin, and replica of the Dark Heart. Players who purchase this $140 premium version will receive the Epic Edition of World of Warcraft: Midnight, along with these real-life collector’s items.

It is officially alpha season in Azeroth, with closed public testing for World of Warcraft: Midnight beginning on October 2. Each week of alpha testing will focus on different zones and features from the leveling campaign and endgame, giving players a hands-on look at what the expansion has to offer.

Now, to kick off this major milestone towards the expansion’s release, World of Warcraft has revealed the Collector’s Edition of Midnight. In addition to the Epic Edition of the World of Warcraft expansion, the Collector’s Edition also includes the Midnight Hard Cover Art Book, as well as a Collector’s Pin featuring Xal’atath and Lor’themar. Additionally, they will take home a replica of the Dark Heart – the artifact wielded by Xal'atath in World of Warcraft: The War Within and Midnight – that features an LED component, all gathered together in a gorgeous Collector’s Edition box.

The World of Warcraft: Midnight Epic Edition includes the base game, plus three mounts, two pets and transmog sets, eight housing items, 2000 Trader’s Tender for use at the Trading Post, 30 days of game time, and a Level 80 Character Boost. Additionally, fans will guarantee a spot in the beta, gain early access to Housing when it releases on December 2, and jump into Midnight itself three days ahead of most players.

It is important to note that players who get the Collector’s Edition will not receive the in-game items for the Epic Edition until they can redeem the code from the box, which ships shortly before World of Warcraft: Midnight's release date. Fans who want to claim these digital rewards early can purchase the Epic Edition separately in addition to the Collector’s Edition. Then, once their physical box arrives, they can redeem the included Epic Edition code to credit the $90 cost as Battle.net Balance to their accounts.
