OIS (Optical Image Stabilization)

Optical image stabilization is a nifty technology that stabilizes the lens or sensor in a camera module to eliminate the jitters from a camera. The Optical lenses are stabilized using springs and electromagnets.

EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization)

Electronic Image stabilization is an incredible software technique, that crops the image or a frame to stabilize the video.

It crops in to the video removing the unnecessary parts in order to make the video feel more stable than ot really is.

Gimbal Stabilisation

The Gimbal Camera system uses a more sophisticated tech and the whole camera module is being moved to stabilize jerky motion in the captures video. Unlike OIS where only the lens is moved in x and y axes, Gimbal Stabilisation means the whole camera module can move in a more free manner giving a considerably more stable video output.
