Hey Questers! Big update coming our way — Vivo is rolling out OriginOS 6 globally, replacing FuntouchOS on international models. 

Timeline alert:

OriginOS 6 will debut in China on Oct 10, and then globally on Oct 15. 

For us iQOO users, this is huge — devices like iQOO 13 are part of the OriginOS 6 Preview / beta program. 

What’s new / improved?

Smoother animations & transitions — opening apps, switching tasks, scrolling will feel more fluid. 

AI-powered shortcuts & predictive tools — the system will guess which actions / tools you might want. 

A new interaction area around the front camera cutout — it “expands / shrinks” depending on what you do (kind of like “Dynamic Island”) but with more AI twists. 

Refreshed widgets, privacy controls, and many subtle UI tweaks. 

How to try it early:

If you have a supported device (like iQOO 13), you may apply via:

Settings → System Update → (⋮ menu) → Version Trial / Closed Beta Sign-Up → fill form. 

Note: Slots are limited and entry is selective. 

What to expect post-preview:

The stable release is anticipated soon after Oct 15. 

Bugs & glitches: since it’s a preview / beta, stability might not be perfect. Be ready to report issues.

Some features may be region-gated or gradually rolled out.

Why this matters for iQOO:

Up to now, iQOO models used FuntouchOS globally while OriginOS was China-only. This brings us in the same unified ecosystem. 

It shows Vivo / BBK want to elevate the software experience, not just hardware.

It could refresh interest in iQOO phones among users who skipped over due to software concerns.

A few caveats & things to watch:

Some features teased in media may be limited at launch.

Battery, performance, and third-party app compatibility are things to test.

Always back up your data before installing any beta / preview.
