BenQ has unveiled the GV32, a portable LED ceiling projector built for versatile home entertainment. It supports 1080p resolution and runs on Google TV with official Netflix certification. The projector is aimed at users who want a compact setup for spaces like bedrooms or dorms. It is now available for pre-order in the U.S. for $599, and buyers will receive a complimentary 100-inch portable screen for a limited time.

BenQ GV32 Specifications

The GV32 carries forward the GV series design, using the same rotating base as the GV50. It allows a 135-degree vertical tilt and full 360-degree horizontal rotation, making it easy to project onto walls or ceilings from any position. BenQ has added autofocus, 2D keystone correction, auto image rotation, and digital zoom to simplify setup and ensure optimal alignment in any environment

The projector produces 500 ANSI lumens of brightness with a 100,000:1 contrast ratio for detailed and vivid imagery. It supports HDR10 and HLG content while covering 95% of the Rec.709 color spectrum through BenQ’s CinematicColor technology. For audio, it features a built-in 2.1 channel system with two 4W drivers and a 10W woofer housed in a dedicated sound chamber for clear and immersive output.

BenQ equips the GV32 with Google TV based on Android 11, providing access to more than 10,000 apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and Disney+. It supports AirPlay, Google Cast, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi for flexible connectivity. The SmartRemote app lets users adjust brightness, keystone, and app functions directly from their smartphones without using a physical remote.

The projector includes one HDMI 2.0b port, a USB-A port, and a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode. It can both charge and be powered by 60W or higher USB-C power banks. The same port also supports direct media playback and Nintendo Switch gaming through a single cable.

BenQ designed the GV32 with flexibility in mind. It can project a 100-inch image from just 2.5 meters or expand up to 120 inches with minimal effort. The projector measures 130×211.2×191.4 mm and weighs 1.6 kg. To achieve full brightness, it requires a power bank capable of delivering over 90W output.
