The software experience on iQOO phones is undergoing a significant transition. For years, global iQOO (and Vivo) devices used Funtouch OS, while China-specific models ran the more feature-rich OriginOS. With OriginOS 6, Vivo/iQOO is unifying its global software experience, phasing out Funtouch OS for a single, powerful system.

1. The Core Difference: Philosophy & Availability

 Funtouch OS (Global, being phased out):

Historically simpler, more streamlined for global users, and often lagged behind the Chinese OriginOS in terms of visual flair and advanced features. It has a clean, near-stock Android-like appearance in some elements but with deep customization.

OriginOS (China-exclusive, now Global with v6):

Built around a philosophy of visual depth, high customization, and advanced "Atomic" features (like resizable widgets) and heavy AI integration. OriginOS 6 marks its global expansion, replacing Funtouch OS entirely.
