iQOO Ultra Cooling Back Clip | My Review for Mobile Gaming

What's up, iQOO fam!

Yashita here, from sunny (and super humid) Kolkata! I'm back with another review, and this time, we're tackling a problem every single one of us gamers has faced: the dreaded hot phone. You know what I'm talking about – when you're in the final zone in BGMI and your phone gets hot enough to make chai on it.

So, one of my Quester friends who lives nearby just got the iQOO Ultra Cooling Back Clip, and you know I had to see what the hype was about! He was awesome enough to let me borrow it for a few days to test it out properly and share a review with you all.

So, does this gadget actually work, or is it just for show? Let's get into it.

First Look & Feel

Okay, so right out of the box, this thing looks pretty cool. It's got that serious gamer vibe. It feels solid, not like some cheap piece of plastic. You just clamp it onto the back of your phone, plug in the Type-C cable, and BAM! The magic starts. The lights turn on, and it instantly looks like your phone is about to go into beast mode.

So, Does It Actually Work? The Real Test.

Looks are one thing, but performance is everything. The first thing I did was fire up BGMI and go for a long session, the kind that usually turns my iQOO's back into a hot plate.

Guys. No joke. This thing is a legit beast.

Within like, a minute of plugging it in, I could feel the spot under the clip getting chilly. Not just less hot, but actually cold. I played for over an hour straight, and my phone, which usually gets super toasty around the camera and processor area, was just... cool. It was wild.

The biggest win? No more sweaty-hand-induced lag or sudden frame drops in the middle of a fight. The performance stayed super smooth because the phone wasn't throttling itself to cool down. It’s like my phone could finally breathe during intense gaming.

The Not-So-Perfect Stuff (Gotta Be Real)

Alright, after using it for a couple of days, I noticed a few things:

  • It Needs Power: This isn't a wireless power bank. It needs to be plugged in to work. So you're basically tethered to a charger or a power bank while you use it. For me, that's fine since I usually game at my desk anyway, but don't expect to use it while walking around.
  • There's a Little Noise: It has a fan inside, so yeah, you can hear it whirring away. It's not loud or annoying, especially if you have your game sound on or are using headphones, but it's not silent. Honestly, I kind of like it – it's like a little hum that proves it's working hard.
  • It adds a bit of chunk: Your phone won't be slim and sleek with this attached. But the way it's designed, my hands could still grip the phone comfortably, so it didn't mess up my gameplay.

Final Verdict: Should You Buy It?

My final verdict after using it for a few days? This thing is a game-changer. Period. I have to give it back to my friend tomorrow and I'm already sad about it.

If you are a serious mobile gamer who plays for hours and is sick of your phone heating up and performance dropping, then yes, 100% get this. It does exactly what it promises: it keeps your phone ice-cold and lets you game at peak performance for longer.

If you're a casual user who just scrolls Insta and watches YouTube, you probably don't need it. But for the gamers in our community? This is an awesome piece of kit.
