Dear iQOO India Team,

I am writing as a concerned owner of the iQOO Z9x (Indian variant). My device was launched with Android 14 and has already received Android 15 as its first major update.

As per iQOO India’s official policy, the iQOO Z9x is eligible for two major Android updates. Therefore, the next update — Android 16 (OriginOS 6 / Funtouch OS 16) — should be my device’s second major OS upgrade.

However, in the official iQOO India OriginOS 6 rollout post, every Z9-series phone is listed except the Z9x. This is extremely disappointing and confusing for Indian customers who purchased the device under the expectation of guaranteed long-term support.

To make matters more concerning, the Chinese version of the iQOO Z9x is already confirmed to receive OriginOS 6 (Android 16). Since both models share the same hardware (Snapdragon 6 Gen 1), there is no technical reason for the Indian variant to be excluded.

I kindly request you to please provide clarity on the following points:

1. Will the Indian iQOO Z9x receive the Android 16 / Funtouch OS 16 update?

2. If yes, please share the expected rollout timeline for Indian users.

3. If not, please explain the reason for excluding the device despite iQOO’s two major OS update promise and identical hardware to the Chinese variant.

This situation has caused significant disappointment among Indian users, and we sincerely hope iQOO India will honor its commitment and include the Z9x in the Android 16 update plan.
