Wide-angle Lens

The wide-angle lens is the primary camera sensor of a smartphone that is used to click most of the images. All smartphones have this sensor aboard at the rear. In fact, at the front too, all smartphone’s selfie camera use this very same sensor. It is ideal for capturing landscapes, etc. and any other thing you wanna capture

Ultra-wide-angle Lens

The next most popular camera sensor is the ultra-wide-angle lens. The ultra-wide-angle lens increases the field of view to capture more of a scene. While the primary wide-angle lens has 79-80 degrees of view, the ultra-wide-angle lens captures 117-123 degrees field of view. It is also used as a secondary selfie camera.

Telephoto Lens

A telephoto lens can optically zoom into the subject without much loss of details. However, the wide-angle lens can only digitally zoom in using magnification technology and so the quality of the image deteriorates. A telephoto lens can optically zoom as they have a longer focal length than the standard wide-angle lens.

Macro lens

The next camera lens in a smartphone is a macro sensor. A macro lens is useful for close-up photography where you want to capture small details of the subject. A macro sensor can get as close as 4 cms to the subject. However, it is worth noting that some smartphones use a wide-angle lens to click macro shots.

Monochrome Lens

Finally, the last most important and common camera lens in a smartphone is a monochrome sensor. A monochrome lens is nowadays easily available in budget smartphones too and what it does is that it captures as much light as possible. Also, using this sensor, you can capture true black and white photos.
