Hong Kong's Chan Wins Street Fighter 6 Gold at the third Asian Youth Games

Hong Kong's Chan Pak Yin claimed the gold medal in the boys' Street Fighter 6 event yesterday at the third Asian Youth Games held at Exhibition World Bahrain's Grandhall.

Chan defeated Lin Jun-xi of Chinese Taipei 4-3 in a closely contested final to secure the title.

Both players had advanced unbeaten through their earlier matches, with Chan defeating the UAE's Hilal Almarri 3-0 in the quarterfinals and Chinese Taipei's Chen You-gang 3-0 in the semifinals.

Lin booked his place in the final after a 3-0 quarterfinal win over Thailand's Phasit Phutthima and a 3-2 semifinal victory against Saudi Arabia's Talal Fuad T. Rajikhan. Rajikhan also went on to earn the bronze medal, defeating Chen 4-3 in the playoff match.
