OnePlus and iQOO have unveiled their next-gen flagship smartphones- OnePlus 15 and iQOO 15 in China. Both smartphones are confirmed to launch in India soon. While iQOO 15 is set to debut on November 26, OnePlus 15 has yet to reveal its launch date. However, both phones will likely ship with similar features in India as their Chinese variants. Here, we have compared both the OnePlus 15 and the iQOO 15 in terms of display, camera, performance, battery, and pricing before their much-anticipated India debut.
The iQOO 15 features a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, boasting 6,000 nits peak brightness and 2,600 nits HBM. That’s easily among the brightest panels we’ve seen this year.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus 15 sports a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate but slightly lower 1.5K resolution. It delivers 1,800 nits of brightness in HBM, and while OnePlus hasn’t shared peak brightness numbers, its ultra-thin bezels and gaming-friendly refresh rate make it visually impressive.
Both devices are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, offering flagship-grade performance. The iQOO 15 integrates a Q3 gaming chip to enhance frame stability and GPU efficiency, while the OnePlus 15 packs a G2 gaming network chip for optimising online gaming and connectivity.
Both phones carry 50MP triple-camera systems on the rear and a 32MP front camera for selfies. The iQOO 15 reportedly uses a larger primary sensor, which could improve low-light performance.Interestingly, OnePlus has ditched its Hasselblad branding this year, introducing its new DetailMax Engine for more natural colours and sharper detail.
iQOO packs a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging, while the OnePlus 15 slightly ups the ante with a 7,300mAh cell, 120W wired, and 50W wireless charging.
iQ00 15 vs OnePlus 15: Software
The iQOO 15 runs OriginOS 6 and the OnePlus 15 ships with OxygenOS 16, both based on Android 16. This will be the first time that users will get to experience OriginOS outside of China as well. Until now, iQOO phones used to run on FuntouchOS, giving OxygenOS the upper hand with cleaner aesthetics and smoother UX. But reports suggest that iQOO has significantly refined its interface this year.
Surprisingly, the OnePlus 15 in China comes at a starting price of CNY 3,999, undercutting the iQOO 15's CNY 4,199 base variant (12GB RAM + 256GB). That makes the OnePlus flagship slightly more accessible. While the smartphones are yet to arrive in India, the OnePlus 15 is expected to be priced between Rs 65,000 and Rs 75,000 and the iQOO 15 may come with a price tag of around Rs 59,999 in India.
