India’s deep-tech scene hit a major milestone with QpiAI – a Bengaluru-based startup – unveiling ā€œKaveriā€, the country’s first 64-qubit superconducting quantum processor.

Built using a flip-chip integrated architecture and designed for scalability, Kaveri aims to serve industries, research labs and academic institutions with complex AI, simulation and quantum-compute workloads.

QpiAI has set its sights even higher: following Kaveri, it plans a 128-qubit chip called ā€œGangesā€ and wants to scale to 1,000 qubits by 2030.
