The anticipation for the iQOO 15 is already building up, and now we have some exclusive news to share. iQOO is taking a massive step forward in software commitment.
The upcoming iQOO 15 will receive 5 years of major OS updates and 7 years of security updates, setting a new standard for iQOO flagships.
iQOO says this move was driven by user feedback and the brand’s growing focus on long-term support.
This puts iQOO ahead of competition flagships in this segment, which currently offer up to 4 years of OS and 6 years of security updates. By going one step further, iQOO is clearly signaling that it’s serious about user satisfaction and longevity, which is a crucial factor in the current competitive smartphone market.
This isn’t the first time iQOO has acted on user feedback. Earlier this year, the company announced that the iQOO 12, originally promised 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates, will now get 4 years of OS and 5 years of security support instead. That’s a full extra year added for both, and such upgrade promises are rare in today’s Android market.
And recently, the brand started rolling out OriginOS 6, a complete overhaul of its software experience, replacing FuntouchOS 15. After community input, iQOO even added previously ineligible models like the iQOO Neo 7 and Neo 7 Pro to the update roadmap, both of which will receive the new OS in the first half of 2026.
As for the iQOO 15, it will officially launch on November 26. We’ve already got our hands on the device, and honestly, we can’t wait to share more about it soon. The phone comes in two color options: Legend and Alpha, both of which look nice.
