Lately I’ve been shooting a lot on my phone, and honestly mobile apps have become so powerful that half the time I don’t even feel the need to open my laptop.
Here are the apps that genuinely helped me level up my mobile creative workflow — both free and paid.
Probably the most underrated photo editor ever.
I use it for quick RAW edits, selective adjustments, healing, and giving my photos that clean punch. Perfect when I want speed without losing quality.
This is my go-to when I want to edit a full video directly on phone.
Multiple layers, clean UI, no watermark… and it handles 4K surprisingly well. If you’re into editography, you’ll love the control it gives.
3️⃣ CapCut (Free + Paid Features)
Honestly, CapCut is insane for mobile editing.
Transitions, AI tools, masking, beat sync — everything is stupidly easy. I use it when I want something quick but still cinematic.
For photography, nothing beats Lightroom’s color control.
I use it whenever I want consistent colors across a batch of photos or when I feel like giving a cinematic tone to my mobile shots.
Paid version unlocks selective edits & RAW power, but even free is solid.
This one is for the vibe people.
If you want your photos to look aesthetic without overthinking color grading, VSCO presets do half the work.
I use it mainly for stylized looks or when I want a film vibe.
When I need more motion graphics, templates, text styles and pro transitions — FilmoraGo seriously comes in clutch.
Not an everyday app for me, but great when I want to make a polished project fast.
This is for the heavy stuff: advanced retouching, layering, sky replacement, composites.
I don’t use it for quick edits, only when I want that “desktop Photoshop” vibe but I’m traveling.
💬 My Combo Setup
Here’s how I usually work:
Photos: Snapseed → Lightroom → VSCO (for vibe)
Videos: VN for clean cuts, CapCut for stylish edits
Advanced stuff: Photoshop / FilmoraGo
This combo covers everything from casual reels to cinematic mobile shots.
