iQOO Soul emerged victorious at the Chennai Esports Global Championship (CEGC) 2025, claiming the BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) title after an intense three-day Grand Finals held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.

The event, organized by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) in partnership with Skyesports, featured 16 of India’s top BGMI teams competing for a total prize pool of ₹50 lakh, with iQOO Soul taking home around ₹21 lakh for their stellar performance. The team finished the tournament with 162 points, securing four “Chicken Dinners” and 107 eliminations. Using the Smash Rule format, which emphasizes consistency and high performance, iQOO Soul became Match Point Eligible after dominating the first 12 matches and sealed their victory in the final rounds.

Key players like Nakul “NakuL” Sharma, Harsh “Goblin” Paudwal, Yash “LEGIT” Chaudhary, Khush “Jokerr” Singh, and Aaryaman “Thunder” Seth showcased incredible synergy, strategy, and precision under pressure. Nakul, the in-game leader, was particularly instrumental in guiding the team through critical mid- and late-game scenarios, earning the Best IGL award. Goblin stood out as an MVP in multiple matches, delivering high damage and crucial eliminations. The team’s consistent performance, back-to-back wins, and excellent teamwork distinguished them from top competitors like True Rippers, Gods Reign, and Victores Sumus. iQOO Soul’s co-founder Naman “Mortal” Mathur praised the squad’s dedication, resilience, and focus, calling their triumph a testament to disciplined training and coordination.
