Hlo Everyone,
Hope you doing well,
Recently, all three major telecom operators in India — Jio, Airtel and Vi — have officially implemented recharge price hikes across multiple plans. As smartphone users, this directly impacts our daily usage, so here’s a quick breakdown and my thoughts.
All three operators have increased prices of:
⚡ Unlimited plans
📶 Data add-ons
📅 Long-validity packs
🎯 Popular monthly plans
The hike ranges roughly from 10% to 25%, depending on the plan.
🟦 Jio
Most unlimited plans have seen a ₹20–₹60 increase.
Popular ₹239 and ₹299 plans now cost more.
Even the long-term ₹2999 annual plan increased.
Monthly and quarterly packs have received notable hikes.
Airtel has increased the price of almost every unlimited plan.
Long validity plans now cost significantly more.
Vi has also revised its entire recharge lineup.
Budget plans are now more expensive.
Long-term packs see the highest jump.
Regular data users will feel the hike instantly
People who use 2–3GB/day plans will pay noticeably more
Long-term plans may be less affordable now
Students and heavy gamers/streamers will be impacted most
Price hikes were expected after 5G rollout, but the sudden rise across all plans makes it tough for everyday users. Telecom is a basic necessity now — and such hikes hurt a bit.
Still, hoping operators use this revenue to genuinely improve:
Network speed
5G coverage
Call stability
At the end of the day, all we can hope is that these higher prices truly deliver better speed, stability, and overall service quality.
