I still remember joining this community almost there years ago. Ever since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by factories whether it was school or college, I grabbed every chance to be part of factory visits. I even grew up watching movies like Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, imagining what it would feel like to step inside a real production setup.
So when I joined this community, one of my biggest dreams was to experience a factory tour at iQOO. But back then, I was completely new here. One day, I stumbled upon a YouTuber’s video showcasing the iQOO India factory tour. I took screenshots, shared them in the Community , and told everyone how excited people like me would be to witness such a tour firsthand especially if it was exclusively for community members.
And today, that dream finally came true. I got the opportunity to experience the factory visit myself. I’m super excited to share everything I saw and felt so that you too can relive the experience through my eyes.
The day after the Annual Questers Meet, we had something even more exciting lined up—a full-fledged factory tour! Our destination was the iQOO–Vivo manufacturing plant located along the Yamuna Expressway in Noida, one of India’s largest smartphone factories.
There’s another facility in China, and the difference between the two is barely 10%, which made us even more eager to witness what happens inside our own Indian powerhouse.
The journey itself felt nostalgic. Travelling from Vivanta Taj to the factory took around two and a half hours, and the whole experience gave off strong school and college picnic vibes. Everyone on the bus was buzzing with excitement, just waiting to spot the iconic building.
And guess what? I was the first one to spot it! Since I had already seen photos and videos of the factory online, I instantly recognized it and excitedly announced to everyone that we were almost there. That moment itself felt surreal.
Soon, our bus rolled up to the factory entrance… and the real adventure was about to begin.
Once we entered the factory, the first thing that struck us was the tight security. And of course, it made perfect sense—this is a smartphone manufacturing hub, so every layer of protection is taken seriously to avoid any external interference.
The atmosphere inside was calm and extremely organized. The factory was absolutely massive much larger than any smartphone facility I’ve seen and incredibly clean and well-maintained. You could clearly see the effort of the admin and maintenance teams in every corner.
We received our entry passes it was VIP badges and took a group picture right outside. The excitement on everyone’s faces was priceless; smiles everywhere! Then we officially stepped into the “den of monsters,” the place where our powerful iQOO devices are born, assembled, and eventually shipped to our homes.
We were first taken to a meeting hall inside the corporate office. The team welcomed us warmly with snacks, and soon after, our ASIF bro from the GTM team gave us a quick briefing. He guided us throughout the day, and I’m genuinely grateful to him for ensuring we had a seamless experience.
Our first stop was the motherboard assembly department. Before entering, we wore the special factory outfits—those lab-style coats, caps, and shoe covers that made all of us look like scientists from a movie scene. After a full security check, we moved in as groups, and I was lucky to be grouped with @parakram_hbhaiya.
Inside the motherboard unit, things got even more fascinating. We saw Snapdragon and MediaTek processors, RAM chips, PCB layouts, and every stage of how a motherboard is created from scratch. Watching robotics work with such precision, synchronised with human supervision, was truly mind-blowing.
The department heads explained each step—how components are placed, aligned, soldered, tested, and prepared for the next stage. Seeing the birth of a motherboard right in front of our eyes was a surreal experience.
After this, we took a lunch break—the Vivo/iQOO factory provided the meal, and it was exactly what we needed to recharge ourselves.
Once again, we geared up in our protective outfits and moved towards the main assembly floor—the place where both Vivo and iQOO smartphones come together piece by piece. Everyone was hyped for this section… and trust me, the energy only got better from here.
After the motherboard assembly, the enthusiasm in the group went to a whole new level. Until now, we had only seen how the heart of the phone—the motherboard—comes to life. But next, we were about to witness the entire smartphone assembly process from start to finish.
We were assigned a wonderful guide (I wish I remembered his name!) who walked us through every single stage of how a smartphone is built. From the very first component placed on the frame to the final moment when the box gets sealed—he explained everything with so much clarity and passion that it kept all of us completely hooked.
One of the most exciting parts was getting to hold the actual components—optical sensors, camera modules, lenses, and various tiny yet powerful parts that make our phones truly “monstrous.” Seeing these delicate pieces up close was surreal.
And then came the biggest surprise…
We got to witness the assembly line that was making the new iQOO Neo 10R!
Everyone in the group was super alert, excited, and completely absorbed in the process. Watching the workers and machines operate with such precision—each step happening within seconds—was mind-blowing. It gave all of us a new level of respect for the craftsmanship and coordination that goes into making every single smartphone.
It was an amazing, eye-opening experience, and we loved every bit of it.
It’s not just about how fast a smartphone is made—what truly impressed us was the amount of time and care that goes into every quality checkpoint. From the initial assembly to the final packaging, each stage had its own dedicated inspections, tests, and approvals. Watching the workers handle each device with such precision and responsibility was honestly heartwarming. They treated every unit as if it were being built for someone they personally knew.
When we buy an iQOO smartphone, we’re holding a device that has gone through multiple layers of testing, QCs, and validations—far more than we ever imagined.
I was truly surprised by the balance of advanced machinery, robotics, and manual expertise involved in ensuring top-notch quality. The machines did their part with extreme accuracy, and then the final human checks added that extra assurance only skilled technicians can give.
After witnessing all this firsthand, I can confidently say I will never doubt iQOO’s quality. Now that I’ve seen the entire process inside the factory—the effort, the time, the discipline, and the priority given to quality—it has completely changed my perspective. It was genuinely amazing to see how seriously iQOO and Vivo treat the quality of each smartphone they manufacture.
This entire experience awakened the child in me. Back when I was young, I loved visiting chocolate and biscuit factories—and now, as a tech enthusiast, getting the opportunity to visit a smartphone factory felt like reliving that same excitement, but in a field I’m truly passionate about. I had always hoped a brand would make something like this possible, and finally, that dream came true.
And with maturity, we also understand how difficult it is for a brand to organize such exclusive tours.
He introduced himself warmly and shared that he had worked as the product manager for the very first iQOO smartphone launched in China—the original model that didn’t even have a number. Meeting someone who had been part of iQOO’s history from day one was truly special. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to have us there.
We ended the session with some snacks, lots of conversations, and finally a big group picture to conclude this unforgettable day at the factory.
Finally, a long-awaited dream came true. Three years ago, I wished so deeply for this opportunity from the brand—and today, that wish was fulfilled. This truly proves that patience pays off; slow and steady really does win the race.
A huge thank you to the iQOO Community Team, @parakram_h @ParthNirmalbro from iQOO India for collaborating and making this factory tour possible for us Rangers and Moderators.
Bringing us into the heart of the “monstrous den” was an unforgettable gesture. Initiatives like this genuinely bridge the gap between the brand and its consumers, and I sincerely appreciate the effort behind it.
I hope I’ve shared plenty of insights about the factory visit. If you have any questions or need any clarifications, feel free to reach out I’m always here to help.
Thank you once again.
