The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) Grand Finals uses a unique and exciting format known as the Smash Rule.

Here is a breakdown of how the PMGC Smash Rule works and how a team is crowned Champion:

1. The Match Point Threshold (Step 1)

The road to the championship title begins with reaching a specific score that is set after the first two days of play.

  • Calculation: The Match Point Threshold is determined by taking the score of the overall Top 1 Team Points at the end of Day 2, and adding 10 Points to that score.
  • Eligibility: Teams must surpass this final calculated total to become Match Point Eligible.

2. Winning the Championship (Step 2)

Once a team is Match Point Eligible, they must satisfy the second and final condition to win the title:

  • The Requirement: The very first team that is Match Point Eligible to secure a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (WWCD) in any subsequent match is immediately crowned the 2025 PMGC Champion.

  • Contingency: If no eligible team secures a WWCD, the champion will be the team with the highest total points after all matches are concluded.
