Hello iQOOans,
Good Morning😊..
Today is the First day of October month and another new day also😊. This time again, i am come up with another very interesting tech topic "AAC and aptX Codec" related to audio quality. The main reason for discussing Bluetooth audio 🎶 codecs is the fact that Bluetooth is the future of wireless headphones and earbuds now.
So, without further delay let's start this topic in detail.
The AAC extension is short for “Advanced Audio Coding”, which is a standard audio container format for compressed digital audio and music data. Improved in several aspects, this format produces better sound quality at the same bitrate compared to the older audio formats.
The AAC family of audio codecs comprises some of the most efficient audio coding technologies available today. Standardized by ISO MPEG, it is designed to provide high quality audio at lower bit-rates than previous MPEG audio coding formats.
The aptX is an audio codec that provides high definition voice quality over a connection using Bluetooth wireless technology. It is a bitrate efficient technology that makes sure you receive high quality audio from your Bluetooth device for a better listening experience.
The aptX HD audio codec is the codec generally used for Android compatible device, while AAC is the high-quality codec recommended for Apple users. Now a days AAC codec is used in android also. However, the sound quality also depends on the hardware or actual specifications of the source and receiving device.
-Low-complexity sub-band codec (SBC)
-Qualcomm aptX, aptX LL, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive.
-Advanced audio coding (AAC)
-Sony LDAC.
-HWA Alliance's LHDC and LLAC codecs.
-Samsung Scalable Codec.
