Hello iQOO Questors!

The winter chills are finally here, and with them comes the most magical element of photography: Fog. For this month's #ShotONiQOO December Spirit contest, I wanted to capture how mist and clouds transform landscapes into something dreamy and mysterious.

Armed with my iQOO 12, I trekked through the mountains of Lambasanghi, Araku and the peaks of vanjangi to capture these moments. Here is my story told through the lens.

Araku Valley

The sun trying to break through the heavy fog layer. The image is soft and dreamlike. The camera managed to capture the orb of the sun without blowing out the highlights, preserving that moody, ethereal atmosphere of early morning.

The open jeeps parked against the rolling hills covered in fog give off major adventure vibes. A perfect shot to end the series, looking out over the valley.

A massive tree canopying over a quiet village path. The green tones look natural, and the fog adds a dreamy, cinematic feel to the rural architectureytó

A classic winter mood. The bare branches of this tree create a beautiful, melancholy silhouette against the thick white sky. The 15mm wide-angle really emphasizes the spread of the tree.

This shot captures the depth of the forest. The dynamic range is excellent here—you can see the road fading into the white void while the trees in the foreground remain detailed

As the fog clears, the blue tones of the distant mountains come alive. This shot is crisp and clear, showing off the sharpness of the lens on the foliage in the foreground while maintaining the soft gradient of the hills in the back.

A peaceful start to the day in the village. The ultra-wide lens captured the entire rustic scene—from the texture of the thatched roof to the white cow standing quietly by the bricks. The dynamic range here keeps the shadows detailed despite the bright foggy sky.

A traffic jam at Madagadha View Point, Araku, as everyone queues up early in the morning to catch the sunrise. Even with the heavy fog and the rough terrain, the iQOO 12 captured the scene with great clarity. The red taillights pop beautifully against the grey, misty surroundings, perfectly documenting the winter travel vibes.

Captured this roadside moment early in the morning amidst the biting cold. A local rider traveling to their daily work, bundled up against the low temperatures. The shutter speed froze the motion perfectly, highlighting the dedication of the daily commute even in this foggy weather.

In the early morning chilled climate, two women workers head out for their daily farming work. The iQOO 12 beautifully captured the vibrant colors of their attire against the misty background, highlighting the resilience of daily life in the countryside.

Walking into the unknown. I love how the camera rendered the depth here; the people in the foreground are sharp, while those further ahead slowly vanish into the thick blanket of mist. It captures the mystery of the morning walk perfectly.

A pop of color in the grey! The pink jacket stands out vividly against the earthy tones of the cliffside and the white fog. It captures the scale of the terrain and the feeling of a solo adventure in the mountains.

The telephoto lens perfectly captured this intricate spider web. The morning dew looks like strung pearls, and the color contrast of the spider against the grey fog is incredibly sharp.

Another stunning perspective of the Signature Spider, captured at a high zoom. The lighter background here really highlights the "signature" zigzag pattern (stabilimentum) in the web. The focus precision of the iQOO 12 on the delicate legs is impressive.

This shot perfectly captures the intensity of the fog. The visibility was near zero, reducing the approaching motorcyclist to a faint silhouette emerging from the mist. You can barely make out the rider, with only the headlight cutting through the thick white gloom. It really emphasizes the challenging and eerie conditions of the morning commute on the ghat roads.
