Vince Zampella, co-creator of Call of Duty, co-founder of Infinity Ward and Respawn Entertainment, has died in a single-car crash on Angeles Crest Highway north of Los Angeles, Electronic Arts confirmed. A passenger also died in the incident. 

Zampella shaped blockbuster franchises including Call of Duty, Titanfall, Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi, and was leading development at Respawn under EA. Tributes have poured in from industry peers and studios honoring his legacy.
